Earlscliffe is an independent college that offers university preparation for 15 to 19 (Years 11-13; NOR 120) year olds from all over the world. 

As well as offering school-year courses, Earlscliffe has a long track record of providing world-class education in short courses during the Easter and Summer term breaks.  They offer students the chance to expand their world view and experience academic, linguistic and cultural development in an English independent school setting. 

Located in Folkestone in south-east England. They enjoy a beautiful stretch of coastline, with the renowned White Cliffs of Dover to the East and the breath-taking dunes of Camber Sands to the West. On a clear day, France is clearly visible to the South (only 40 km away).

The Role 

We are looking for an experienced and successful senior leader who is willing to give a long-term commitment to Earlscliffe. The successful candidate will work closely with a supportive governing body and Senior Leadership Team to lead the college through its next stage of development. 

They should be comfortable in leading teams, setting and meeting targets and in working within a wider international context. 

Experience required 

  • Have a track record of senior leadership in a UK school or British international school delivering an IGCSE/A-level programme
  • Show evidence of educational thought leadership
  • Possess experience of managing international students through the UCAS process
  • Show evidence of working successfully with senior colleagues in delivering measurable outcomes
  • Have highly developed interpersonal skills and can demonstrate cultural awareness and empathy in dealings with students, parents and staff
  • Possess experience in strategic planning
  • Possess excellent financial management skills with a track record of meeting targets
  • Have a track record of working successfully with a governing body and external stakeholders
