How can I help the cause?

Thank you for asking!  You can help spread the word and give!  Many families requested a car but did not receive one.  So we need to raise more money.  Please copy the website www.wheelsforwork.org and send it to your social media and other networks. And please give all you can. Thank you!!

Are my ticket purchases tax deductible?

Accepted Answer

Yes, to the fullest extent of the law.  The payments for ticket purchases are made directly to the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries.

Question 3

Why do I have to give my address when buying a ticket?

Accepted Answer

Your donation for the ticket is done by making a payment to a non-profit entity, the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries.  As such, DRMM is recording your donation as per proper non-profit accounting methods.

Question 4

What if I cannot attend but still want to help?

Accepted Answer

You can still make a donation.  You can either click on the additional donation selections, or visit the website www.wheelsforworkorg.  We definitely appreciate your generosity.

Question 5

Does anyone who asks get a car?

Accepted Answer

No.  We realize that having a car is a financial responsibility.  Thus, we have criteria for the recipient families, such as having a job, paying auto insurance, taking a financial literacy course, and more.  Please see the wheelsforwork.org website for full details.

What is the dress for the event

Accepted Answer

The attire is business casual, so dress in whatever way that means to you!  We just want to see you here.

Question 7

Will this initiative reoccur?

Accepted Answer

As the Lord would have it, this event will be reoccurring.  The event was initiated as a one-time fundraising effort.  But many have expressed excitement at supporting the effort in the future.  Thus, look out for us in the future.

Who is the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, the entity receiving my donation?

The DRMM has existed since 1909, providing food, shelter, job readiness, and other services to so many, in all walks of life.  DRMM is a faith-based, non-profit organization, lead by the tremendous, visionary and intellect Dr. Chad Audi, who passionately serves those in need throughout SE Michigan.
